Honey Put On The Carrots, Quick!
Here is a quick recipe for Honey Carrots!
Vegetables can get a bit boring, but I am sure this recipe for honey carrots will inspire even the kids to give carrots a try. This is an easy and quick recipe and can be eaten as a side dish or main meal. The honey will enhance the natural sweetness of the carrots. This recipe serves six:
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of clear honey
1 table spoon of soft brown sugar
15g butter
125ml of water
750g baby carrots, can be fresh or frozen
2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
Method:
1: Bring the carrots to boil in the water. Simmer and cover for about 10 minutes. For crispy carrots, simmer for less than 10 minutes. If you are using frozen carrots, please check the instructions on the packet.
2: Melt the butter over a medium heat so as not to burn it. Add the sugar, honey and carrots. Reduce the heat and keep turning the carrots over for a few minutes until completed covered. Sprinkle the parsley just before serving.
Try this with roast chicken and as a thirst quenching drink carrots, apple and ginger .
